High-pressure melt spinning metering pump is a gear-type metering pump, and one of the key components on the spinning machine. Its main purpose is to uniformly and quantitatively deliver the spinning melt to the spinning assembly, which then solidifies into filaments after cooling through the microholes of the spinneret.
High-pressure melt spinning metering pump is composed of plates, gears, shafts, drive sleeves, fixed sleeves, cover plates and other components. The melt being conveyed provides self-lubrication for the pump during operation. All components are closely fitted to form a mechanical seal, which can prevent melt from leaking out.
The pump is driven by the cooperation between the special drive shaft joint on the spinning machine and the drive sleeve of the pump. The pump must rotate clockwise and must not be reversed. All metering pumps are inspected and qualified on a dedicated flow test bench before leaving the factory. To improve fiber quality, the flow rate of the pump must be measured and grouped after each disassembly, cleaning and before installation on the spinning machine for use.
